Travelling With My Best Friend

My dog Grace is my very best friend in the world and I take her everywhere that I go.  I am flying out to CA to visit some friends and I want to take her with me.  The airline gave me a number to call to ask about shipping pets by air freight.  I need to make sure that it will be alright because I feel that I cannot go without her.  Since I do not have any children, she is the closest thing to a child that I have and we are inseparable.  I am hoping that things will fall into place and I can take Grace on this awesome trip with me.
