When To Change Muscle Exercise Routine
February 8, 2010 on 3:57 pm | By admin | In HealthI must disagree about not needing to vary your exercises (at least a little bit). my experience (admittedly not as extensive as yours) has been that a change in exercises has helped me continue progressing whenever i reached a plateau. for example, when i hit a wall on my overhead barbell press, i switched to dumbbells for a couple cycles. when i went back to the barbell, i easily progressed past the previous mark. perhaps this is not quite what some people might call ‘muscle confusion’, and maybe not everyone needs this kind of variety, but the idea of change seems to work for me. the only exercises that haven’t changed at all for me are deadlifts and squats.
