My Cousin’s Food Allergy Earned Him a Trip to the Hospital

I absolutely love authentic Indian food and couldn’t wait to take my visiting cousin out for some of the best I had ever eaten. Since he wasn’t as familiar with the menu, I ordered for both of us. The food looked and smelled wonderful, and we both dove in as soon as it arrived. It was only moments before my cousin was choking and having trouble breathing. We called an ambulance and rushed him to the hospital. When he could talk again, he mentioned that he has a severe shrimp allergy. He didn’t think it would be a problem in that restaurant because he was under the impression that most curried dishes were done with chicken or beef. Sometimes ignorance is definitely not bliss.
