I saw a cute commercial the other day advertising a Landlord Insurance Quote.  Two little girls were having a tea party.  Afterwards, they threw out their paper plates, plastic silverware, etc….in the toilet!  The one girl flushes the toilet and the camera is on the other girl, whose eyes are getting bigger and bigger!  You can hear the toilet overflowing and then the camera pans the floor showing lots of water and floating plastic silverware.  The girls run to the phone, dial a number, and holler, “Quick!  We need an insurance quote!”  Then it ends with information regarding landlord insurance.  Very cute!

Leaving a Note for my Boss

The only big task I had today was scheduling meetings for my boss. I have access to his schedule so I know when he is available. I was able to find the three health insurance quotes that he circled. Once I located the quotes, I placed a call to each of the companies to setup the meetings. I have all the meetings scheduled over two days next week. I figure my boss would appreciate all of the meetings being close to each other. I was also told that I would be attending the meetings. I am so happy that he respects my opinion.

My Aunt Penny is an insurance agent and she takes the time to learn all about the different policies that are available and what would be the best fit for her clients.  She has been especially helpful with me and my husband when we were starting his contracting business.  She helped us to get Contractors Liability Insurance and it was very much appreciated.  She has definitely taught us a lot about how all of this works and she is really great at explaining things in a way that we understand.  This is probably why she is so great at what she does.

Running a small business is getting harder than it has ever been.  The economy is terrible right now and I’ve been trying to cut costs so I can keep my staff paid.  I recently changed insurance companies because I found a good and cheap shop insurance policy.  I haven’t bothered to compare rates for a couple of years, but I probably should have.  I’m not done cutting costs, but this was a great place to start.  I still have a few tricks up my sleeve that will help me keep the doors open and make a profit and provide well for my family.

We Went to the Dealership

My husband and I went to the dealership tonight. We took our two daughters with us. They no longer have the minivan that we want on the lot but they are expecting another one by the end of the week.
