The shadow that passed by my door
February 8, 2010 on 9:16 am | By admin | In ArtsYesterday afternoon I was making a cup of my special Peruvian coffee when I saw a shadow pass by my front door. I knew this meant that someone who was either going to knock on my front door or leave something for me. As it turned out the person left something for me. After I was sure the person had left I opened my front door. It turned out to be a blue colored flyer advertising free electric guitar lessons. I noticed that the phone number at the bottom of the flyer had an area code that I was not familiar with. After consulting the Internet I found out that my area code split.

Take Advantage of an Ares Free Download
January 30, 2010 on 2:48 pm | By admin | In ArtsI am usually pretty careful about what I download from the Internet because I know this is the most common way to infect your computer with a virus, malware or spyware. When my wife wanted me to check the Ares Free Download to make sure it was safe, I did a lot of research on it. I found that it is guaranteed to be free of anything that will harm your system and drastically increases the speed of downloading files. I found that over 30 million people across the globe use this program and after downloading it myself I could see why.
My Professor Is an Expert on Ancient Chinese Calligraphy
January 27, 2010 on 4:19 am | By admin | In ArtsMy Asian Culture professor is an amazing little woman. I think that she is Chinese, and I know that she is an expert in ancient Chinese calligraphy. It’s almost a lost art form today, but she has learned so many of the marks for that very complicated language. When I asked her if she could give any of us students who were interested, lessons, she just laughed and said that we wouldn’t stay interested very long. Instead she encouraged us to study the Chinese people more, including their culture and faith. “If you really want to know the Chinese culture, you need to focus on the people that make up the culture rather than ancient writing techniques,” she said.

Great Quality!
January 13, 2010 on 4:32 am | By admin | In ArtsThe first time I went to one of the IMAX Theaters I felt as if I was inside a mall! It was huge and I had never seen anything like it! I am from a small town and so we have a very small theater; so going into something that large was amazing! It was a lot of fun too. My friends and I went to see a movie and it was awesome! I almost felt part of the show! Now whenever I go to our small country theater I get a little disappointed at the difference and I can’t wait to go to the IMAX again!

Looking Forward to Being a Year Older
January 3, 2010 on 11:11 am | By admin | In ArtsI do the same thing every year for my birthday, absolutely nothing. Since I left home, I do not have a special person in my life to make sure that my day does not go unnoticed. This year, I am planning on throwing myself a Funny Happy Birthday party that people will be talking about for months. I went online to get some ideas on what I could do to make the party a success. When I came across a site that had some great birthday party jokes, I knew I had found what I was looking for. The party is planned for next weekend, and I am ready to let the good times roll.
How to Look For a Professional Wedding Photographer
December 31, 2009 on 4:26 am | By admin | In ArtsJennifer and Bill will be getting married in June. Jennifer’s parents have been searching for the right wedding photographers to take all the wedding shots. They would like to have someone that has several referrals and they would like to see some of the previous photographs that have been taken. They want to know what the qualifications of the photographer are. Since they are having a large crowd, they would like to have someone that is experienced with large crowds and knows how to work behind the scenes and yet be able to quickly take pictures when a special moment arrives.
Memories and Pottery
December 29, 2009 on 5:55 pm | By admin | In ArtsThis post deals with a person’s first memories of his (her?) grandmother teaching him how to use a pottery wheel and making a bowl for the first time. It’s interesting how our great loves in life, the hobbies that complete us, often come from cherished memories. I do pottery, too, and I think part of the reason I love it (other than the sensuality of it and the creative feeling it gives me) is that I fell in love with my instructor when I first took the class in college! It was a passionate, doomed romance, but one I don’t regret - and I often think of it with a smile and longing as I create.
