Atheists define themselves in terms of god (theos), which I find intriguing. It shouldn’t be out of line to ask which god they are defining themselves against. And it has been my observation that many atheists (not all, but many) have a closer, more vivid relationship advice for women with god (whether real or imaginary) than most American Christians do. It’s an angry relationship, but it’s a very intense relationship. Of course, these types may make an impression on me that’s disproportionate to their occurrence in the total population of atheists, because they are noisy about it. It would be a good topic for some sociological and behavioral research.
